  • My son was speech delayed. We began working with a speech pathologist when he was 2 years old, but unfortunately he made little to no progress over the course of several months. I was really nervous about transitioning his care to another provider but I am so grateful that we did, because that was when we found Shir. Really within the first two sessions, he was starting to communicate more. Not only did Shir engage our son, but she also provided support and knowledge to my husband and I. Shir taught us how to encourage language and eventually how to extend it. It’s hard to believe that a year ago I was wondering if my son would ever talk at all, now our son is a happy chatty little boy. This is all in very large part thanks to Shir. We are so profoundly grateful for Shir and everything she has done to support our son’s language.
